Terms and Conditions

WORKSHOPS

Every workshop is considered one person per project.  All workshops are intended for a single person and are not intended to be shared with another guest.  Only those that have purchased a spot will be allowed into the workshop. Additional guests can not “sit in” on a class without paying the workshop fee.

Because our projects are unique and customized, there are no refunds for workshops.  If you find yourself unable to attend a workshop due to an emergency, please consider the following:

We require a minimum of 72 hours notice if you cannot attend your reserved workshop.  With 72 hours notice, we will add you to a waitlist* for the same workshop, provided one is being offered in an upcoming month. Guests will be taken off the waitlist only if the workshop does not sell out.

With less than 72 hours notice, we charge a re-scheduling fee of $20/person to move your reservation to the waitlist for a future workshop.  Please know that our workshops can fill up quickly, so we cannot guarantee rescheduling.

*Cancellations for some workshops will not be added to a waitlist.  This includes workshops that are only offered one time and do not have an upcoming date scheduled, as well as any workshops with perishable goods (this includes but is not limited to Cookie and Cake Decorating, Floral Arranging, etc) Instead, you will have the option to pick up your supplies at Studio 223 to create at home.

If your workshop is unable to be rescheduled you can pick up supplies and instructions at Studio 223 to create your project on your own.  Supplies will be kept at Studio 223 for 30 days, after which time they will be donated.

 

PRIVATE PARTIES

Please keep in mind that Studio 223 reserves the right to not make certain designs.  This includes, but is not limited to, reasons due to copyright infringement or due to a design's intricacies and the time constraints of a party or workshop.

If you will be missing a private party, we can reserve a spot for you at one of our public Wood Sign Workshops where you can make your sign up to one month after your party.

In order to reserve the studio for a Private Party, the hostess will be required to pay a $50 REFUNDABLE reservation fee. The $50 will be returned upon the completion of your party.  If you do not meet the minimum of 6 people (including the hostess), your party can be cancelled and the deposit will be forfeited.   If you cancel the party for any reason, the fee will be forfeited. 

If your party has at least 10 people (including the hostess), the hostess will receive a coupon code for $35 off her sign.  If your party is smaller and has between 6 and 9 people (including the hostess), the hostess will get a coupon code for 15% off her sign.  All guests' orders need to be submitted ONE WEEK prior to your party.

Each piece of wood is hand selected and may have perfect imperfections such as knots, nicks, small cracks and holes. Your sign will be hand stained, hand painted and lightly sanded to add character which can also cause imperfections in the words or designs.  Because each piece is hand made, it can cause differences between the picture and the item received.  Every sign will take the stain and distressing process differently, creating a unique and one-of-a-kind piece.
